This year Nord CUP regatta will start on Friday evening (24.06) with the long distance race, to the LOTOS Petrobaltic platform on B8 oil field. The titular patron of the race is Orvaldi Company.
– Orvaldi B8 Race is a new race designed for sailors who likes long-distance race – says Michał Korneszczuk, sport director of the Nord CUP Regatta. – We noticed that many crews expected such a long race at North CUP. It will start on June 24 at 7 pm.
The race route will lead from the start near GW buoy in Gdańsk-Górki Zachodnie, to the buoy, which – thanks to LOTOS Petrobaltic – will be placed South from the LOTOS Petrobaltic platform on B8 oil field. Finish line of the race will be at the level of Yachtklub Stoczni Gdańskiej. The total length of the route will be approx. 120 nm.
